Opportunity Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Admin Production Assistant (known as Production Clerk in our organisational chart) to join our Admin Support team at RAAF Base Edinburgh. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting workshop operations through a mix of SAP-based administrative tasks and non-technical support to tradespersons and Defence personnel. This hands-on role contributes to the smooth running of maintenance activities under the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC), ensuring compliance with Defence regulations and standards. This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, based on-site at RAAF Base Edinburgh. What We Offer Permanent, full-time (38-hour week) salaried position. About the role Perform SAP and office-based administrative tasks to support tradespersons and Defence personnel. Assist with daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate documentation of work packages. Manage inventory records, prepare requisitions, and expedite repair parts for ADF fleets. Support planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, including work order management and Commonwealth Supply Customer Accounts (SCAs). Prepare written work schedules aligned with ADF priorities and assist in maintaining Commonwealth systems. Coordinate site maintenance, subcontractor access, housekeeping, and consumables replenishment. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations and administrative processes. About You Proven administrative experience in a workshop environment, with knowledge of workshop flows, Hazchem, and OHS standards. (essential) Proficient in SAP for maintenance and procurement, and skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). (essential) Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and scheduling. Demonstrated initiative, integrity, accountability, and a proactive, can-do attitude. Effective team player with the ability to motivate and support others. Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules, and information systems. Current Australian State or Territory Class C Driver’s Licence. (essential) Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
