Description

OVERVIEW

To ensure that our policies and procedures comply with relevant food legislation and technical requirements of the multiple retailers. Maintaining up to date and auditable customer specification system alongside Carrs own quality management systems. This shift pattern for this role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in dealing with colleagues, customer, and suppliers.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently managing workload to timescales
  • Hands on approach to problem solving
  • Desirable:
  • Completion of relevant UKFM modules / willingness to attain appropriate external qualifications relevant to the position.
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required to meet job requirements / attend customer meetings.
  • Use of electronic systems (ERP/SAP/customer portals etc.)

Responsibilities
  • To be a key member of the technical team.
  • Support in raw material / packaging documentation, specifications and supplier approvals.
  • Maintain accurate finished product specifications (internal and retailer).
  • To proactively investigate complaints and co-ordinate retail queries, which require technical assistance to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Maintain customer policies, codes of practice and specifications to current and potential ingredient and packaging supplier control.
  • Internal auditing of systems; reporting any non-conformances to the relevant manager(s) immediately.
  • Quality assessments against agreed customer requirements.
  • Support in 3rd Party and Customer audits.
