We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy Technical Analyst II to provide district and job site technical support for our construction teams. This role involves supporting the district office locations and some traveling to various job sites in the BC Region to ensure the seamless operation of IT systems and infrastructure critical to our projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, an understanding of construction technology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
This position is based in Richmond BC.

What You Will Be Working On

  • District Office Support: Provide comprehensive assistance for level one and level two troubleshooting within the local office. This includes fulfilling service requests and offering remote incident support to ensure seamless operations across the national organization.
  • On-Site IT Support: Travel to construction sites to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot IT equipment, including computers, printers, mobile devices, and network infrastructure.
  • Network Management: Deploy and manage Wi-Fi and other network solutions tailored to remote and dynamic construction environments.
  • Technology Setup: Configure and support construction-specific software and hardware, including project management tools, ruggedized devices, GPS systems, and field communication platforms.
  • User Assistance: Provide technical support and training to on-site staff, ensuring they can effectively use construction-related IT tools and systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly, minimizing downtime on critical construction activities.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain IT inventory for job sites, ensuring all equipment is functional and up to date.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of IT configurations, troubleshooting steps, and site-specific requirements for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the central IT team, construction managers, and external vendors to implement and optimize IT solutions that support operational goals.
  • Cybersecurity Awareness: Implement and enforce IT security protocols to protect sensitive construction data in field environments.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of IT support experience, district office and/or in the field or a remote setting. Familiarity with construction industry technology is a plus
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, network setup and troubleshooting, and mobile device management (MDM)
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Ability to think critically and resolve IT issues independently under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse construction teams and technical staff
  • Willingness to work outdoors and navigate construction sites safely. Must be able to lift and carry IT equipment as needed
  • Certifications (Preferred): Post secondary or CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to job sites
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours or on-call as needed to address urgent IT needs
