Manage requisitions for ship and shore in the company system, clarifying any additional information as required, in a timely and reliable manner Analyze the purchasing history and support the technical team in the development of forecasting models as required Manage and optimize inventory levels using processes and tools such as Power BI Initiate RFQ and RFP, analyze quotations, determine the best suppliers for the need, negotiate the best commercial agreements, and ensure timely delivery/scheduling for all material and service requests from the vessels Issue Purchase Orders (“PO”) based on results of negotiation or global CSL agreements where applicable Follow-up on outstanding requisitions, inquiries and PO’s and process invoices The skills you will bring to our team You are a team player with strong communication, inter-cultural skills and assertiveness Ability to analyze and determine purchasing trends and develop forecasts Ability to develop ABC analysis to optimize inventory level and stock rotation Ability to develop commodity strategies to optimize supplier base Ability to negotiate commercial agreement with suppliers as well as commodity / service costs and/or terms and conditions Ability to recognize the best supply delivery location in a ship’s trade Knowledge of English is necessary for this role due to daily interactions with colleagues, clients and partners who are mainly located outside Quebec and in order to understand regulatory requirements and technical instructions and specifications.
