Job Summary: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm We are seeking a dedicated entry level position that will train to become an Electronic Repair Technician within a 12-month time frame. This program will undertake a structured training program, to gain the required skills and knowledge to complete the service and repair of Industrial Controls, (i.e. industrial grade PCBs, timers, counters, PLCs, drives, monitors and temperature & process controls.). You will observe and learn how to use the system for recording and communication purposes and processing work orders. You will learn how to use a range of test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator) and test fixtures. Learn how to read, interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams to facilitate fault analysis and product repair.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *      As an Apprentice Technician, you will be expected to learn each task throughout the production life cycle and be able to demonstrate your full understanding of each process. All training will be recorded on to the Management Reporting System (MRS) as confirmation.  *          Observe, learn and understand a wide range of engineering skills while under the instruction of skilled technical staff  *          To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training progresses by working independently or with a team * Learning and understanding the importance of Health & Safety within the workshop * To learn how to maintain the workshop equipment to a high standard of repair * To maintain and ensure good housekeeping of the workplace and test areas *          Successfully show the ability to solder dip/surface mount components, troubleshooting components, and the ability to take apart and put industrial equipment back to normal functioning order.  * Assisting multiple positions within the production department METRICS * Demonstrate an understanding of the processes, troubleshooting, testing and soldering Completing assignments accurately and efficiently * Ensuring neatness and a high quality of work. * Program signoff from QE department KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED *  The aptitude and desire to learn in a technical environment *  Have a logical approach to problem solving *  Ability to learn quickly *  Attention to detail EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE *  High School Diploma or equivalent required   PHYSICAL DEMANDS *  Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling *  Frequent walking *  Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion *  Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time position with regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays based on customer demand and is mandatory unless cancelled by senior management due to acceptable customer service levels. Additional overtime may also be scheduled as needed. Employees are expected to adhere strictly to attendance and coverage policies. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice and in accordance with company policy.   WORK ENVIRONMENT The environment is a warehouse setting. Dress attire is casual but professional in a warehouse setting. All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Closed toed, hard sole heels are required. Radwell ID Badge and Access card must be worn at all times.
