Description:
We’re seeking a Technical Specialist to utilize technical skills in providing
guidance and direction in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex production information systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in application systems/administration OR 9 years of experience without a degree.
  • Prefer proficiency in at least two computer languages used currently in production.Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and conducts research in automation techniques to improve application performance, efficiency, and testing.
  • Determines and directs testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards established for department. Provides leadership in isolating and solving problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure.
  • Will act as a mentor and provide leadership to all levels of Technical Application Specialist.
  • Plans and coordinates programming projects within a particular work group.
  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.
  • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Assists and advises subordinate personnel in the solution of highly technical and complex problems and solutions.
  • Functions as a senior programming consultant in advanced computer technology and architecture.
