Job Purpose Qatar Airways is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect to join our IT – Digital Resilience Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize hybrid cloud solutions that align with organizational objectives. You will ensure strong cloud governance with a focus on cost optimization and security posture enhancement, while leading initiatives such as Azure migration, capacity planning, and parallel run strategies to enable seamless digital infrastructure transformation. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, along with a strategic approach to maintaining compliance and operational excellence Roles and Responsibilities Implement and manage application infrastructure, ensuring high availability, business continuity and scalability for enterprise applications. Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business units to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments with focus on automation to accelerate application deployment and reduce manual effort. Define and enforce cloud governance best practices for Azure and GCP, focusing on cost optimization and strengthening security posture Lead Azure migration initiatives, including lift-and-shift approaches and parallel run strategies. Perform capacity assessments and provide right-sizing recommendations for cloud-based systems on Azure and GCP Lead Well-Architected Reviews in collaboration with Hyperscalers and internal technology SMEs. Facilitate platform architecture review meetings for Azure and GCP to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices. Ensure that all the standard operating procedures are adequately documented, reviewed and periodically Investigate and analyze cloud infrastructure incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability. Together, everything is possible About You Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences /IT management or equivalent qualification Minimum 8 years of experience in IT and 6 years of relevant job experience. Proven experience in designing and managing hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises and public cloud platforms. Proven experience in migrating workloads to cloud using Lift & Shift strategies. In depth knowledge of architecture patterns for building and deploying scalable workloads for Azure and GCP Native Services Good knowledge of microservices and event driven architecture patterns. Proven skills in managing different operational requirements using DevOps, DevSecOps pipelines and automation Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role. In-depth knowledge of Cloud Adoption & Well-Architected Frameworks Excellent understanding of security, compliance, and best practices for cloud environments. Strong knowledge of SRE principles and experience in platform reliability engineering, performance optimization and incident management. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
