Hy-Tek Intralogistics Job Description Job Title: Technical Architect, WMS/WCS Software Department: Software Solutions Supervisor: VP, IntraOne Software Implementation Job Purpose: Hy-Tek is seeking a Technical Architect to join our growing IntraOne Software Project Development team. This role serves as the bridge between business requirements and technical execution — ensuring system architecture, integrations and configurations align with client needs and company standards. The Technical Architect provides technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from design through go-live, and partners closely with functional consultants, developers, and client technical teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft Windows system administration, Microsoft SQL Server database administration and a strong understanding of networking concepts and application integration strategies. Experience with WMS / WCS / WES platforms and warehouse operations, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable system configurations, is also desired. As a senior technical leader on the team, you’ll also play a key role in troubleshooting complex issues, supporting go-lives, and collaborating with both internal and client stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Solution Design & Architecture * Support sales process with robust, data-driven estimates and requirements definition, as needed. * Lead the technical design of software implementations, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability. * Translate business and operational functional requirements into detailed functional & technical specifications. * Define integration architecture and data flow across enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, WES, WCS, CRM, automation platforms). * Implementation & Team Leadership * Oversee configuration, customization, and deployment of the software platform. * Provide hands-on guidance to developers and technical consultants throughout build and testing phases. * Support project teams in estimating technical effort, sequencing work, and managing technical risks. * Ability to mentor and support the career development of direct reports. * Client Engagement * Collaborate with client IT and business stakeholders to understand infrastructure, integrations, and performance requirements. * Present technical designs, integration strategies, and data models to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Serve as the primary technical contact for client solution questions during implementation. * Be able to lead and guide technical & functional customer-facing conversations. * Quality & Standards * Ensure adherence to development and architecture standards, documentation, and best practices. * Review code, configurations, and integrations for compliance with design and performance expectations. * Participate in technical audits and post-implementation reviews. * Continuous Improvement * Contribute to reusable solution templates, processes and internal tools that improve implementation efficiency. * Stay current on product releases, cloud technologies, and emerging best practices in enterprise architecture. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field * 7-10+ years of experience in software implementation in a technical architect role. * Strong understanding of software architecture principles (modular design, APIs, data modeling, integration frameworks). * Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP, WMS, or SaaS-based business systems. * Proficiency in SQL, APIs, and common integration technologies (REST, SOAP, message queues). * Excellent communication and documentation skills. * Technical skills including: * Microsoft Windows system administration * Microsoft SQL Server database administration * Microsoft IIS application administration * T-SQL and database querying * API integration (REST/SOAP) * Data mapping and transformation * Familiarity with Android and other RF device setup and automation integration * Strong understanding of networking concepts * Ability to lead technical design workshops and system architecture sessions. * Disciplined, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and to work autonomously. * Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, inventory, labor, and shipping workflows. * Ability to work independently and travel to client sites as needed. * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and system analysis skills. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Proven ability to lead or support multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
