Meta Wearables is looking for a Technical Artist to join the Product Creative team. Product Creative uses artistic and technical skills to create the vision and experiences that make Meta Wearables trend-setting, distinct, and loved by customers.Technical Artists are responsible for working on the tools, systems, and pipelines that bring our products to life. They collaborate with artists, designers, program managers, product managers, and engineers to develop real-time graphics, shaders, and other aspects of our interactive experiences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience developing real-time experiences in the gaming or tech industry as a Technical Artist
  • Demonstrated expertise with runtime behaviors or asset pipeline
  • Experience working with Unity and/or Unreal
  • Expertise in at least one low-level programming language
  • Understanding of architecture for complex tools and pipelines
  • Experience in shader languages (Open Graphics Library Shading Language, ShaderLab, High-Level Shading Language)
  • Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques
  • Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Expertise working with version control systems (for example Git), using advanced workflows

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with generative AI tools, and interest or experience in leveraging AI tools in your workflow
  • Comprehensive understanding of how to build content for real-time performance
  • Experience with animation systems
  • Knowledge of and experience adopting emerging technologies

  • Create and maintain a wide array of workflows, systems, and tools
  • Partner closely with art, engineering, user experience, product management, and other teams to develop content in modern real-time environments
  • Design, manage, and maintain the pipeline from asset creation through deployment
  • Quickly innovate and solve issues with cross-functional teams
  • Explore new tools and identify new opportunities to create engaging experiences
