We are seeking a motivated Technical Assistant to join our fiber optic product manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the Production Supervisor in setting up, testing, and commissioning production equipment, as well as assist in daily production operations once the line is established. You will gain hands-on experience with the entire fiber optic patch cord manufacturing process, from raw material handling to final product testing and quality control.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with fiber optic technology, including splicing, termination, and use of fiber testing equipment.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions.
· Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
· Physical Capability: Ability to work in a manufacturing and field environment, including handling equipment and lifting moderately heavy objects as required.
· Safety Focus: Commitment to following workplace safety standards and protocols.
· Certifications (Preferred): Industry certifications such as FOA CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or equivalent are a plus.

· Equipment Setup & Operation: Assist in the installation, calibration, and trial runs of production equipment; operate machines during daily production and perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure stable operations.
· Production Process: Participate in fiber optic patch cord manufacturing tasks such as fiber cutting, polishing, end-face preparation, assembly, and curing, progressively mastering the complete manufacturing process.
· Material & Inventory Management: Support material handling, including receiving, issuing, tracking, and inventory control to ensure timely and accurate supply for production needs.
· Product Testing & Quality Control: Conduct product performance tests (e.g., insertion loss, return loss), record and analyze test data, and assist in implementing quality assurance procedures.
· Process Improvement: Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to optimize production processes, suggest improvements, and contribute to higher efficiency and product quality.
· Safety & Compliance: Follow all workplace safety guidelines and operating procedures, maintaining a safe and organized production environment.
