About the role Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, including occasional overnight shifts, with flexibility to support operational requirements. Accurately manage and process medical request forms to ensure smooth workflow, timely turnaround times, and high-quality patient care. Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to client telephone enquiries professionally and acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders. Perform specimen reception and preparation activities, including labelling, centrifugation, aliquoting, and storage, ensuring specimens are processed accurately and ready for analysis. Operate pre-analytical processing equipment and assist with laboratory housekeeping, maintenance, and courier duties, including the transport of blood products and collection of specimens across the hospital. About you Proven qualifications and/or practical experience in pathology or a related field, providing a strong foundation of technical knowledge and skills. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a busy work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus and professional telephone manner. High-level data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced setting. Ability to prioritise competing tasks, work independently, and adapt to multitasking and cross-training across various areas within Customer Service and Reception (CSR). Why work at St Vincent’s?
