Description
The Technical Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting audits on engineering and construction activities, ensuring compliance with company standards, safeguarding assets, and verifying the integrity of technical specifications and construction quality. Under the supervision of the Technical Audit Manager, the role supports audit planning and execution for continuous improvement and risk mitigation. KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Process & Risk Controls Assessment Prepare comprehensive audit reports with clear observations, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations. Maintain audit records, working papers, and documentation per internal audit protocols and best practices. Monitor corrective action plans and follow-up to ensure resolution of audit issues. The incumbent will be assigned primarily on Construction Audit. Evaluate construction activities for compliance with approved technical specifications, design drawings, and project schedules. Conduct site audits to assess workmanship, quality of materials, and structural soundness of horizontal and vertical projects. Review project documentation (plans, contracts, change orders) and identify discrepancies or risks. Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Project Management teams to recommend technical improvements and corrective actions. 2. Inventory and Asset Audit Audit physical inventories of tools, materials, equipment, and fixed assets across project sites and storage facilities. Validate proper asset tagging, inventory records, and controls over issuance, storage, and disposal. Report inconsistencies or losses and recommend policies to strengthen asset safeguards and accuracy in reporting. Assist in monitoring asset lifecycle and usage efficiency in relation to project needs. 3. Inspectorate Team Support Participate in pre-turnover inspections and verify readiness of projects in terms of safety, usability, and compliance with building codes. Document deficiencies (punch list), monitor their resolution, and collaborate with stakeholders to close out findings. Contribute audit insights to enhance quality standards during project close-out and property turnover. Ensure that inspection and final audit processes meet company and regulatory standards. 4. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborates with project site engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure adherence to technical standards. Provides guidance and technical expertise to project teams for continuous improvement. Participates in audit meetings and discussions with management to present findings and action plans. EDUCATION, TRAININGS, LICENSES REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field. Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction audit, quality control, or site inspection. Experience in real estate development, construction, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
