Job Description The Client Design Authority undertakes a vital role in ensuring that key defence infrastructure that interfaces is safe and fit for purpose. We are looking for an experienced Technical Author to support the technical capability of the Design Authority (DA). This role will be suited to Technical Authors with experience in an Engineering Discipline TASKS Qualifications 💼 Experience 📝 Experience in technical authoring within an engineering, defence or industrial environment. ⚠️ Experience working within the nuclear industry or another high-hazard industry is advantageous, but not essential. 📐 Ability to interpret engineering technical data, drawings, schematics and design documentation. ✍️ Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 📂 Experience with document management systems, version control and configuration management processes. 📚 Knowledge of technical documentation standards and structured authoring principles. 🎓 Qualifications & Training ✅ Essential 🎓 HNC (or equivalent qualification/experience) in a relevant engineering discipline. 📝 Proven experience in technical authoring within an engineering environment. ⭐ Desirable 🏅 Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or equivalent professional experience and industry standing. 🎓 Degree (or equivalent qualification/experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
