Talent Consultants is looking for a driven and engaging Technical Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our client's team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the technical sector, fostering relationships with potential clients, and promoting our client’s innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with a proven track record in business development. As the Technical BDM, you will serve as a key point of contact for clients, understand their technical needs, and work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within the technical market, targeting potential clients and strategic partnerships. Grow and maintain the company's General Industrial Adhesive Technologies business in Northern Alberta/Northeast BC Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor on technical products and services. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to understand technical offerings and convey value propositions effectively to clients. Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that clearly outline the benefits of our solutions. Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve business objectives and revenue targets. Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and its services. Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and product enhancements. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. Travel within specified territory. Approximately 40% overnight travel required. Occasional additional travel required for training, meetings, etc. 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within a technical or engineering environment. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of industry trends and technologies. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing successful business strategies. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with effective time management skills. Experience with CRM software and other business development tools. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
