Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security. We’re seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a high-performing Defence team supporting critical capability outcomes. What You’ll Do As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs with data, analytics and technical solutions, enabling evidence-based decision-making across a complex Defence environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies, improving information management practices and delivering insights that support operational, project and strategic outcomes. In addition to applying advanced analytical techniques, you will provide guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts while helping to build organisational capability in data management and analysis. This role offers exposure to complex Defence programs, senior stakeholders and large-scale information environments while contributing to outcomes that support Australia’s national security and Defence readiness. This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: * Manage and govern large, sensitive and high-value data assets in accordance with legislative, policy and security requirements. * Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, vendors and data custodians to support the movement and integration of data from source systems into reporting and analytical platforms. * Ensure data, tools and processes are fit for purpose and aligned with organisational data strategy objectives. * Act as a trusted technical advisor on Defence data management and analytical tools. * Apply advanced data analysis, modelling and visualisation techniques to solve complex business challenges. * Translate business requirements into meaningful insights, reporting solutions and decision-support products. What You’ll Bring * Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within a complex environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to translate business requirements into technical and data-driven solutions. * Experience managing, analysing and interpreting complex datasets. * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. * Experience working with reporting, analytics and data visualisation tools Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
