The Ministry of Municipal Affairs assists municipalities in providing well-managed, collaborative, and accountable local government to Albertans.

Our main responsibilities are:

  • Funding supports for municipalities.
  • A system that strives to ensure appropriate safety standards for the construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • Protections for new home buyers and required licensing for home builders.
  • Province-wide support for access to public library services for Albertans.
  • Management of about 2.6 million acres of public land in the province’s three Special Areas.
  • Independent review and decisions on local matters by the Land and Property Rights Tribunal.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in a related field such as Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Technology, and 4 years of related experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum or hybrid project delivery methods.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Visio,

You’ll work at the intersection of data, technology, and public service—driving innovation and delivering meaningful insights that impact communities across Alberta. In this role, you will provide analysis and leadership in support and evolution of the municipal grant and assessment applications. You will play a key role in gathering business requirements, supporting automation initiatives, and delivering data-driven insights to inform decision-making across the Branch.
