REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or related field - at least 3-5 years of relevant experience .
  • Professional purchasing management certification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MRP/SAP systems is required .
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive Technical Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials, parts, machinery, and supplies for our production operations. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate requisitions and engineering change requests to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, pricing information, and purchasing documentation in line with ISO/GPP standards.
  • Monitor supply chain issues and collaborate with manufacturing to resolve material shortages.
  • Liaise with QA, Engineering, suppliers, and subcontractors to address quality or technical issues.
  • Support ad hoc customer requests for units in Work-In-Progress (WIP).
