Job Introduction
As a Technical Cleaner, you’ll help keep our operation running at its best by ensuring TGW and other equipment is cleaned to OEM standards. Working as part of the Resident Maintenance Team, you’ll play a hands-on role in extending the life of machinery, spotting potential issues early, and always working safely.
You’ll log your work using administration systems, while building great relationships with teammates and customers. If you’re thorough, team-minded, and take pride in keeping things running clean and smoothly, this role is for you!
This is a great opportunity to work in the newest automated distribution centre in the Netherlands (Heerlen) for our customer which is a sports fashion, multichannel retailer of branded sports and casual wear, combining globally recognised brands. This customer now has over 4,500 stores across 36 countries worldwide.
This facility will be dedicated to fulfilling omnichannel sales and is designed to manage all EU volumes efficiently within one automated site.
The automation system, provided by TGW, will feature 675 Stingray shuttles, 34 shuttle storage aisles, 284,333 storage locations, and a capacity to store 4.8 million units. Additionally, another leading provider of logistics solutions will install their Skyfall pouch system, which includes 90,000 pouches, GTP workstations, and sorters, carton machines, compressors, and print & apply systems from other third-party OEMs.

Main Responsibilities

• You will clean third-party equipment, including lidding machines, carton erectors, and bagging machinery
• You check setup and configurations
• You monitor machine performance and report any defects to the engineering teams
• You carry out planned cleaning and other scheduled tasks
• You adhere to health and safety processes
• You work with machines, tools, equipment and materials as provided
• You ensure any issues are promptly raised with management
• You complete all administrative paperwork in relation to duties
• You execute other general site and workspace cleaning tasks

About You

• You have keen interest in mechanics, machinery and automated equipment
• You are committed to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• You are punctual and have a reliable approach
• You show initiative and have the ability to work without supervision, but as part of a team
• You are flexible with availability to working hours to suit operational demands
• You are able to manage time effectively
• You have previous experience operating machinery with an understanding of the benefits of machine hygiene/cleanliness
• You have experience in technical cleaning
• You demonstrate strong proficiency in both written and spoken Dutch and English and you always work in a customer-oriented manner
