Job Title: Technical Coach - Software Craftsmanship
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Coach who is passionate about software craftsmanship and dedicated to elevating the technical
skills and professional growth of software development teams. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical expertise with exceptional coaching and mentoring abilities to drive continuous improvement in software development practices.

  • Must be available to work Hybrid schedule reporting our Horsham, PA Office

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to development teams across various skill levels
  • Assess current development practices and recommend improvements aligned with software craftsmanship principles
  • Conduct code reviews, design workshops, and technical training sessions
  • Promote and implement best practices in:
  • Test-driven development (TDD)
  • Clean code principles
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Agile and lean software development methodologies
  • Design and facilitate technical skill-building workshops and learning programs
  • Help teams develop robust architectural designs and scalable software solutions
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining high-quality coding standards and development workflows
  • Support teams in adopting modern software engineering practices and tools
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to help developers enhance their technical skills
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to develop strategic skill development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ Years experience in software craftsmanship & coaching role
  • Proven track record of implementing software craftsmanship principles
  • Expert-level programming skills in at least two modern programming languages
  • Deep understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and coaching teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
  • Exceptional mentoring and coaching abilities
  • Growth mindset and passion for continuous learning
  • Empathy and patience in working with developers at different skill levels
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Systems thinking approach to software development
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language
