ABOUT THIS ROLE

Permanent employee · Full-time · Remote (US/Central Europe) or Munich
Help build the future of identity—and make world-class documentation your product.
At Ory, we believe great docs are core to the developer experience, not an afterthought. We’re looking for a Technical Content Developer to join our documentation team and create strategic, high-impact content that empowers developers to succeed with Ory’s identity infrastructure.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background—ideally a degree in computer science—and experience in developer-facing roles such as DevRel, support engineering, or technical writing. If your favorite part of the job is writing tutorials, improving docs, and building developer education materials, we want to hear from you.
The ideal candidate combines the technical knowledge of a developer with the writing skills of a technical writer.

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

  • Write clear, technically accurate tutorials, guides, onboarding flows, and integration walkthroughs.
  • Build and maintain secure, tested code samples and demo apps across languages such as Java, Swift, Ruby, Python, and others.
  • Test and validate developer flows, APIs, and SDKs to ensure usability and first-time success.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Support, and apply your own developer-facing experience to identify and fill content gaps.
  • Contribute to documentation strategy, roadmap planning, and content KPIs.
  • Improve discoverability through metadata, taxonomy, and search structure.
  • Apply and evolve editorial standards, style guides, and content structure for clarity and accessibility.
  • Use analytics, feedback, and usage data to continuously improve and scale documentation.
