REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of technical, hands-on cybersecurity experience, including SOC or MSSP environments.
  • 3+ years of management/leadership experience with small security teams.
  • Strong technical expertise with:
  • SentinelOne MDR
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Microsoft 365 Security stack
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Vulnerability Management solutions
  • Experience with incident response, red/blue team operations, automation, and vendor management.
  • Excellent knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical teams and executives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CCSP, or Palo Alto certifications.
  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government).
  • Background in digital forensics, threat hunting, and adversary simulation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security tools (AWS, Azure).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Cybersecurity Manager / Team Lead to oversee a small, high-performing security team while remaining hands-on with critical cybersecurity technologies. This leader will balance technical expertise with strong people management skills, ensuring our security posture evolves to meet emerging threats and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of technical cybersecurity experience and a proven track record of managing small teams in SOC/MSSP environments. This individual must be comfortable driving technical initiatives — from red/blue team exercises and scripting automation to threat hunting and compliance oversight — while mentoring team members and engaging with business stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of cybersecurity analysts/engineers.
  • Oversee daily operations of the SOC or MDR workflows, serving as an escalation point for incidents.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and learning.
