ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

Together with you, we will provide trusted data in an industrialized, scalable, and sustainable way, making it an asset that drives innovation and growth that creates the highest possible value for the company.
As a Technical Data Specialist for Geospatial in the IT & Data organization, in a team with great colleagues, you will be a focal point for subsea survey data for our assets.

In this role, you will:

  • Receive, transfer and manage and catalog multimedia data (videos, images, acoustic data)
  • Develop and run quality control scripts to manage large volumes of data
  • Manage data in maintenance and integrity systems
  • Support Subsea engineers’ data gathering efforts
  • Establish and operate a video management system that includes governance and retention criteria

Typical tasks will include:

  • Transfer data to and from suppliers on behalf of subsea discipline
  • Quality control data using scripts and data analysis tools
  • Manage control access to cloud storage solutions (azure blobs)
  • Load and ingest data into integrity and visualization systems
  • Establish service accounts and administer storage and software systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines related to data engineering and/or digital data management
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience Python and other scripting languages
  • The ability of critical thinking and problem solving
  • Digital change implementation/execution experience
  • Oil & Gas Industry Experience is an advantage
  • High level of proficiency in Norwegian or English, verbal and written.
