Description:
At Nokia we are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to join our Charging & Mediation Services & Care Team.
As a member Charging & Mediation Services & Care Team, you will lead a team of developers, designers, Integration specialists and plan and execute NCC (a leading real-time rating and online charging application & NM (Nokia Mediation) which provides an operator with voice/data in 4G/5G network) feature implementation & validation in an end-to-end network level testing environment.
As a self-starter, you will have the opportunity to lead the team to verify NCC & NM functionality including DevOps automated test, call processing, database, system recovery, measurements, and software release update in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will interact and work with internal Nokia and external customer teams globally.
- Technical contact and reference person for medium and big sized projects.
- Working together with Project management and technical staff
- Manages all the technical management activities defined in Customer contract with medium/large business volume and medium/high complexity and risk probability, in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase.
- Acts as primary technical interface and first technical escalation point within the Customer project*.
- Ensures operational continuity and smooth execution as well as network availability by implementing proactively BG/BL guidelines and PM@Nokia Methodology.
- Supports Project Execution Owner (PEO) in project planning and delivery Acceptance.
- Validates the workload involved and expertise needed related to technical tasks. Ensures resource management related to technical tasks regarding allocation, induction, release and expertise needed.
- Leads technical activities during execution and care phase, for instance Core Network Implementation, System Acceptance, Multi-Vendor Interface Verification, Fault and Technical Escalation Management, Preventive Care and HW/SW update and upgrade.
- Performs a Technical Risk Analysis. Proposes and implements risk mitigation actions.
- Supports Project Execution Owner (PEO) to ensure delivery handover to regular operations and to assure actions have been successfully implemented.
- Ensures network availability with Care project team.
- Identifies new technical management related opportunities to expand contracts with the customer (EG network expansion, new features, software corrections implementations).
- When applicable supports Solution Managers to review adopted solutions and assumptions.*The term “customer project” refers generally to all forms of Nokia customer contracts; projects with a definitive start and end; and, programs - collections of projects managed together for business benefits which may contain an ongoing operations business.
- Understanding overall customer network requirements
- Proactively plans and performs advanced technical activities requiring knowledge in multiple areas or on a system level providing excellent Services to the customer.
- Prioritizes work based on customer and business impact and brings expertise to customer site on need basis.
- Passionate in Service of the Business and learning new technologies
- Identifies and solves proactively demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders.
- Participates as an expert in own technology area in customer projects.
- Develops processes, tools and working methods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications or relevant field, with strong software interest) with 12 - 16 years of experience in NCC or any other 3rd party OCS systems.
- Working knowledge of NCC feature functionality (or) any other 3rd party OCS with ability to independently author, test and deliver high quality complex MOPs and functional tests
- Knowledge of Diameter/HTTP2 protocol (Ro, Rx, Sd, Gx, Gy/Sy, N7, N28, N40) & Voice Protocol (CAPv2, v3) including simulation tools. Strong background in 4G/5G charging testing or development with good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical skill and ability to produce high quality tariff design, test plan, and test cases is essential. Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Experienced with VNF/CNF onboarding and orchestrations is a plus.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot NCC issues and work across teams to provide resolutions. Experience in test automation including Robot, Cucumber etc is a plus.
- Experienced with NCC platform or applications based on Nokia CSF platform is also a plus
- Networking protocols including IS-41/IS-826/ISUP, LDAP, TCP/IP, HTTP, Routing, and Firewalls is a plus.
- Tariff design (or) Product catalogue creation for Prepaid/Postpaid OCS is a plus.
- Commercial data bases, knowledge of Aerospike DB would be a key differentiator.
- Development Team leading experience on Java, Spring/ Spring Boot is a plus
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, Java Scripts/Angular JS, Bash, and Ansible is a plus.
