Description:
Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester office up to twice a week.
Role Type: This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex Engineering programmes, ensuring they meet scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Develop and implement Engineering programme and project management frameworks, processes, and best practices.
- Identify, assess, and manage programme and project risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular programme status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of programmes and projects with organisational strategy and objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure buy-in and support for initiatives.
- Monitor and control Engineering programme and project performance, ensuring delivery of expected benefits.
- Conduct programme and project reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving improvements.
- Lead the utilisation of project management tools and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Provide thought leadership through programme management expertise and act as an SME for the team
- Own relationships with suppliers in this ecosystem and peers in the industry
SKILLS
- Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
- Project planning - ability to create project schedules, allocate resources, define milestones and track progress
- Risk management & QA - ability to identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement quality control processes
- Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Time management - ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
- Innovation & CI - ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Budget management - ability to effectively manage project and team budgets.
- Relationship management - ability to foster relationships (and network) with external vendors, suppliers, industry peers, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Experinece of Vulnerability Management & Pen Testing desriable
- Substantial experience in programme management, project management or a related role
- Substantial experience of engineering systems and infrastructure, ideally in an Arqiva domain/platform (e.g. transmission)
- Extensive knowledge of programme and project management methodologies, tools, software, and best practices.
- In-depth understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Programme Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.
