SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience in a technical design role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or product design.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of measurement techniques and accuracy in design.
• Excellent customer communication skills – confident liaising with clients by phone, email, and in person.
• Ability to prepare accurate quotes and convert them into orders.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
• Experience in Flight case design not essential but would be beneficial.
  There are two shift available to choose from for this position, a 45 hour week - Monday to Friday, 7am - 5pm or a 40 hour week - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm

THE ROLE:

Experienced Technical Design & Sales Operative to join our growing team. This role bridges technical design and customer-facing sales support, ensuring clients receive accurate, tailored solutions from enquiry through to order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use custom-built 2D CAD software to produce accurate technical drawings, case designs and quotes. Training on software will be given.
• Work from customer measurements, sketches, supplied drawings or measure equipment to create design solutions.
• Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements, provide design input, and ensure specifications are met.
• Generate quotations based on designs and customer needs.
• Collaborate with production team ensuring high quality output from design state to product delivery.
• Provide good communication and technical support to both customers and colleagues.
