Candidates must be able to work from the designated location without company-sponsored relocation HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Technical Designer II, you will be responsible for ensuring that the product design is in accordance with the fit specifications. You will be responsible for collaborating with the integrated product team (IPT) and manufacturers, ensuring high-quality products are created, tested, and produced. You will be the key architect of all technical documents & drawings. WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage, perform, & record all measurements for garments and accessories to ensure they align with product designs Hold and execute product fittings in collaboration with vendor partners Key stakeholder in identifying & correcting potential fit concerns to ensure all specifications are adjusted accordingly prior to scheduled launches Ensure product fit testing has been performed prior to product release During the design process, communicate with pattern and sample makers, to ensure cut patterns are correct and any required sampling is completed Adhere to the Product Development, Product & Project Calendar(s) IPT Communication of fit session recaps, testing results, & any delays in calendar(s) Develop & maintain a healthy relationship with vendors and manufacturers Inspection of final product, making sure there are no defects Maintain a 24-hour turnaround time with comments Subject matter expert on product fit, construction, and fabrics QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES At least 3 years in Apparel Technical Design Knowledge of sublimation is preferred Knowledge of Team Sports Apparel preferred Phenomenal detailed oriented abilities and excellent problem solving and networking skills Must have a strong technical knowledge of pattern making and garment construction. Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant software Strong work ethic & decision making Ability to work in a team or individually as and when required. Responsibilities
The Technical Designer II will manage and record garment measurements to ensure alignment with product designs, holding product fittings with vendors and acting as a key stakeholder in correcting potential fit concerns before launches. They will also communicate fit session recaps and testing results to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) while inspecting final products for defects.
