Description Technical Designer Product Development/Sourcing Full-Time, Exempt This position is responsible for executing design’s vision into product that can be mass produced. This position is also responsible for reviewing design technical spec packages and samples to ensure they adhere to brand standards for fit, quality and construction. Assist Manager for the following: Manage assigned product category from concept to production Communicate with cross functional team of design, 3D patterns and factories to interpret and translate ideas into technical specs and final product Create and maintain accurate tech packs with flat sketches, graded specs and complete BOM details Work with cross functional team to identify issues during development and assist in providing cost effective solutions Analyze proto fit garments against tech pack details Lead fit sessions for product category and apply necessary adjustments in clear comments for factories Maintain accurate notes on development, adjustments and updates. Review 3D patterns to ensure factories are following LT pattern standard Approve and track the fit sample process while managing calendar deadlines Coordinate standards between multi-sourced products Communicate with Merchandising, Design, 3D patternmaker & Product Manager Adhere to dates set on the development calendar Work with Director to resolve quality issues Manage product development process & push continuous process evolution Handle other duties as assigned Requirements Domestic & International travel as needed College degree or equivalent work experience Knowledge of fabrics, dyeing, garment construction, specification, fit, and quality control Knowledge of pattern-making process Ability to conduct fit sessions reviewing overall detailing and balance of garment Utilize V-stitcher to evaluate patterns Understanding of Brand concept Excellent organizational skills Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent computer skills required (AI/Microsoft Office/PLM) Ability to work well within a team environment Employees are expected to work four (4) days per week in the office and may work remotely one (1) day per week, subject to business needs. Additional in-office days may be required based on business demands.
Responsibilities
