We design sleepwear, apparel, and accessories with a strong focus on quality, longevity, and exceptional fit. Position Overview: We are seeking a Technical Designer I with 1–3 years of professional experience to support the technical development of our sleepwear and apparel collections. This role is designed for someone who already understands garment construction, tech packs, and fit execution, and can contribute immediately within an active product development process. Working closely with the Senior Technical Designer, this position helps ensure garments are developed with accuracy, consistency, and strong fit standards across categories. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors in a fast-paced environment. This role works in our Philadelphia office full time, M-F. Key Responsibilities: Technical Design & Fit Execution Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including specs, construction details, grading, and factory comments Measure samples accurately and evaluate against approved specifications Prepare garments and documentation for fit sessions Participate in fittings and take clear, detailed fit notes Update tech packs with fit corrections and construction revisions Conduct pre-fit sample reviews to identify potential issues early Assist in troubleshooting fit, grading, and construction issues Product Development & Vendor Communication Track development samples and maintain organized sample flow Communicate technical comments and corrections clearly to overseas vendors Support adherence to the product development calendar and approval timelines Ensure garments meet Printfresh standards for fit, quality, and construction Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure product intent is executed correctly Assist in reviewing customer feedback and returns data to identify recurring fit issues Maintain clear documentation throughout the development process Ideal Experience & Profile: Skills Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Strong measurement accuracy and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple styles and timelines simultaneously Comfort communicating technical comments to overseas factories Bonus (Not Required) Experience with knit and woven garments Sleepwear experience Familiarity with CLO or other 3D tools Experience in small or fast-growing brands Knowledge of extended size range fit Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field 1–3+ years of professional technical design experience Demonstrated experience with: Tech pack creation and maintenance Sample measurement and spec evaluation Fit sessions and fit documentation Garment construction and pattern interpretation Candidates should be comfortable contributing immediately within an active development cycle.
