About ADR
ADR is a leader in Arbitration and Mediation services, committed to pioneering new approaches through advanced AI technologies. We are building an AI-powered platform to support arbitration and mediation processes – streamlining workflows, enhancing decision support, and enabling seamless interactions between parties.
We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead the design, evaluation, and delivery oversight of this platform in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
Role Overview
The Technical Manager will serve as a critical bridge between ADR’s business vision and the technical execution of its AI strategy. This role will focus on overseeing the development and implementation of ADR’s AI agent for arbitration and mediation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical capability (Python, modern AI frameworks, Azure deployment) with project leadership and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Implementation
- Contribute to the architecture and development of AI components for arbitration and mediation solutions
- Develop or refine Python code and AI workflows using modern ML/NLP frameworks (e.g., LangChain, HuggingFace, Gemini APIs, OpenAI APIs)
- Review and validate vendor-delivered code and models; triage and fix defects when needed
- Define and manage infrastructure deployment pipelines within Azure (compute, storage, security, monitoring)
- Ensure the platform meets performance, security, and compliance standards
Vendor Evaluation & Management
- Assist in the selection of technical vendors and tools from both cost-effectiveness and capability standpoints
- Manage vendor deliverables, timelines, and contractual obligations
- Conduct technical due diligence on vendor tools and models
- Enforce quality controls and ensure deliverables align with ADR’s strategic goals
Business Requirements & Acceptance Criteria
- Collaborate with legal, operations, and innovation teams to gather and translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications
- Author user stories, workflows, and detailed acceptance criteria
- Drive QA/test plans and ensure that deliverables meet acceptance standards
QualificationsMust-Have:
- 5+ years experience in technical product or project management, ideally in AI or data-centric solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with leading AI/LLM frameworks and APIs.
- Experience managing and integrating vendor solutions
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud (App Services, Azure ML, Key Vault, etc.) and CI/CD processes
- Strong skills in writing technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Nice-to-Have:
- Understanding of legal/arbitration/mediation workflows or interest in justice tech
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, or AI agents
- Experience working in regulated or sensitive data environments
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in cloud and AI infrastructure
Personal Attributes
- Proactive and independent with a strong sense of accountability
- Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a startup-style, iterative environment
- Solutions-focused with a balance of technical depth and business acumen
Why ADR?
Join us at the forefront of justice innovation. You’ll be part of a forward-looking team leveraging AI to enhance fairness, accessibility, and efficiency in dispute resolution. You’ll play a key role in shaping an entirely new category of legal tools for the future.
