Job Description We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Director to join our growing organization in Doha, Qatar. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead technical strategy and drive innovation across complex projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment. As Technical Director, you will provide strategic technical leadership, mentor high-performing teams, and ensure the delivery of excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Provide strategic technical leadership and vision across all technical initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives Lead and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams, fostering a collaborative culture that promotes innovation, professional development, and operational excellence Oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex technical solutions, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards Manage technical budgets and resources effectively, optimizing allocation to maximize project outcomes and organizational value Develop and execute technical strategies that support business growth, identify new opportunities, and maintain competitive advantage Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring transparent communication and understanding of technical requirements Analyze complex technical challenges and provide innovative, practical solutions that drive successful project delivery Contribute to risk management and mitigation strategies, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of technical issues Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional development across the team Represent the organization in technical forums, industry conferences, and client engagements, enhancing visibility and credibility Support organizational growth by identifying emerging technologies, industry trends, and opportunities for technical advancement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Minimum 20 years of progressive experience delivering complex technical projects within regulated industries, defense, technology, or infrastructure sectors Chartered status or professional membership with a recognized industry body (PMP, IEEE, or equivalent) Demonstrated expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams through complex technical design, development, and project delivery Strong background in technical project management, with proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, with proven capacity to influence and build trusted relationships at all organizational levels Track record of developing high-performing technical teams and contributing to organizational growth and business success Experience in strategic planning, technical vision setting, and change management within dynamic environments Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies for technical projects Technical publications, conference presentations, or thought leadership contributions viewed favorably Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative technical culture *Please note: While we encourage applications from candidates who meet all qualifications, we welcome professionals with equivalent experience and demonstrated capability in technical leadership roles.
