This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods. Role accountabilities: The successful candidate will provide strategic technical leadership across all phases of rail and transit projects, encompassing planning, design, and delivery. This role requires a forward-thinking approach to project execution, ensuring that every stage is guided by technical excellence and aligned with broader organizational objectives. As the technical lead, you will play a central role in client engagements, design reviews, and project governance forums. Your expertise will help maintain strong relationships with clients, facilitate informed decision-making, and support effective project oversight. The position demands a rigorous focus on compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks such as AREMA, CENELEC, Metrolinx, and TTC. Your involvement will help secure new opportunities and expand the organization's market presence. Mentoring senior engineers and technical staff is an important responsibility, as you foster a culture of excellence and collaboration within the team. Your leadership will support professional growth and encourage the sharing of knowledge and best practices. You will identify and mitigate technical risks through robust quality assurance and control processes. This proactive approach will safeguard project integrity, minimize potential issues, and ensure successful project outcomes. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in rail and transit infrastructure, with a strong track record of technical leadership on major projects. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Systems, or related discipline). P.Eng. license in Ontario is preferred; candidates must be eligible to obtain licensure.
