Your Impact: As the Technical Director for the Protection Component of the Jordan Humanitarian and Systems Strengthening Program (JHASS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening high-quality, survivor-centered, and inclusive protection services. You will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to ensure interventions are evidence-based, impactful, and responsive to the needs of vulnerable populations. Through your expertise, you will drive the design and implementation of gender-transformative approaches that strengthen the capacity of government counterparts, development partners, and civil society organizations (CSOs). Your leadership will contribute to building more effective, sustainable, and inclusive protection systems that promote resilience, safeguard rights, and improve outcomes for women, girls, children, and other at-risk groups. Please note: This position is contingent upon project award and funding. Key Responsibilities:  Strategic Technical Leadership * Co-lead strategic planning and work planning toward realistic and donor-responsive implementation. * Continuously evaluate project progress towards achieving objectives. * Responsible for continuous quality assurance across JHASS - Protection activities. * Provide technical leadership to project staff and partners in support of project objectives. * Builds capacity of local partners and CSOs. * Be fully conversant on global evidence-based practices. * Collaborate with Pathfinder global support staff and all partners to ensure programming aligns with agency mission and vision and that project best practices and lessons learned are shared for agency-wide dissemination. * Lead and contribute to the project’s MEAL agenda and program learning documentation.   Program Management * Lead the successful programmatic and technical implementation of activities that are developmentally appropriate and address the different needs of boys and girls, and men and women. * Support the monitoring of project progress vis-a-vis expected objectives, utilizing tools and methods developed by Pathfinder, and ensuring effective usage of resources and compliance with donor requirements. * Oversee subgrantees/subcontractors ensuring quality implementation of programming and achievement of agreed upon objectives and targets in accordance with established schedules and timelines. * Document technical components of materials and project achievements for communications materials such as annual reports, brochures, and website updates. * Identify, select, manage performance of, and mentor project staff ensuring professional and capacity building; facilitate necessary international technical assistance to promote project goals and objectives. * Ensure linkages and coordination with social development counterparts, other JHASS components, other FCDO-funded activities in Jordan, and other partners in the public and private sector.  Partnership Management and Stakeholder Engagement * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with other teams across the organization to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing. * Manage relationships and facilitate activities with cooperation partners (both public and private sector). * Maintain open and transparent communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Monitoring and Evaluation * Liaise with cooperation partners and MEL staff to ensure adequate collection and analysis of data. * Ensure that all interventions are measured against sustainability. * Conduct regular project retrospectives to learn from past experiences and continuously improve team processes What You Bring: * A bachelor’s degree in gender studies, humanitarian protection, international development, social sciences, or a related area. * A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in GBV prevention and response, child protection, social resilience, gender analysis and integration in large internationally funded humanitarian programs. * Professional experience working in a senior management position for bilateral-funded projects. * Experience interacting with government counterparts, development partners, civil society, and CBOs. * Previous experience working in the humanitarian sector in Jordan.  Preferred Qualifications: * Deep familiarity with FCDO-funded accountable grant delivery. * Experience working in Jordan or the MENA region. * Knowledge of humanitarian systems strengthens and approaches localization. * Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills in English; Arabic is highly desirable. * Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor diverse technical teams in complex environments.  Why You’ll Love Working with Us: * Join an innovative, forward-thinking organization that values your growth and ideas. * Work within a supportive, collaborative environment. * Make a meaningful impact on our organization's operations * Enjoy a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. * Benefit from flexible working arrangements and the opportunity for global engagement.
