Technical Director Role Overview: Energy has recently entered a JV with a top regional EPC to construct and operate an initial 74 Megawatt project. This will be the first milestone in 350 Megawatts of renewable energy projects. With this expansion, Peak Energy is searching for a Technical Director. You will be responsible for overseeing construction, engineering, and asset management for our business in Philippines. This role involves leading technical aspects of a recently announced joint venture (JV) with one of the biggest players in Philippines and managing greenfield solar projects across the country. The successful candidate will play a key role in on-site distributed generation and offsite utility-scale projects. Responsibilities: Joint Venture Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of the JV, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Collaborate with the partner organization to align technical strategies and achieve project milestones. Greenfield Project Management: Oversee the construction and engineering of greenfield solar projects across Philippines. Manage asset lifecycles, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Technical Expertise: Bring expertise in solar, wind, and battery technologies to enhance the technical capabilities of the business. Demonstrate a track record of successfully building at least 200 MW of renewable energy projects in the country. Contract Negotiation: Experience in negotiating EPC contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization. Work closely with legal and procurement teams to finalize agreements. Leadership and Senior Management: Act as a senior leader capable of running the technical aspects of the business. Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the technical team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience in wind and battery technologies. Demonstrated success in building at least 200 MW of renewable energy projects. Experience negotiating EPC contracts and managing construction projects. Senior-level leadership experience in the renewable energy sector.
