Are you known among your friends and peers as a technical ‘role model’ for devs you work with? We are a well-established yet modern Finland based software product company with top talent, technical maturity and high coding standards, now entering a new phase in our product evolution.
To accompany our continued growth, we are now looking for someone technically gifted who can immerse him or herself in our tech and teams, and to resurface unscathed, ready to bring it all together. A ‘Shaper’ who brings the best out of our engineers and developers, an overseer of our 3D and real-time graphics tech to provide direction and help us combine the outputs of different teams into a coherent product pathway.
Rightware, based in Helsinki and with presence in 7 other countries, is a collection of 120+ experts in gaming, graphics and UI development, focused on delivering Kanzi, our advanced HMI toolchain.
As Technical Director, you will plunge into our tech stack and product portfolio on Day 1, in an attempt to gain a high level technical view of Kanzi. Once you have put together your big picture take on our whole stack and overall architecture, you will piece together your own roadmap of merging ways of working and process renewal as you see fit. Coaching, mentoring, facilitating, taking initiative on technical decisions you believe we will face.
You’ll conduct a competence analysis to foster individual and group development, never veering too far from our codebase. Maybe you’ll spearhead a debate about the UX centricity of our product and how it connects to the developer experience, or maybe you’ll join a deeper debate about our codebase to show your diversity and consciousness towards modern, holistic development.
You will bring people together, exemplify active listening and technical direction, and help everyone understand the path, why and how, reinforcing an environment of trust, to unleash our productive power. You will be our guiding light, our beacon, as we embark on a path towards new verticals outside automotive.
