We are looking for someone who is flexible, motivated and a quick learner. Some of the aspects and experiences we are looking for in the successful candidate include:

  • Tertiary degree (Bachelor level) qualifications in Civil Engineering or Architecture
  • 12+ years post graduate experience and proven track record in successfully developing complex social infrastructure, especially data centre assets
  • Experience managing interfaces with D&C/EPC and O&M/FM contractors during development phases
  • Experience developing and negotiating optimal technical outcomes for Clients and Stakeholders
  • Knowledge and familiarity in sector regulations and standards
  • Experience in developing civil/architectural element of Data Centres (desirable)
  • Ability to synthesise and present technical recommendations with strong business justificationFamiliarity with a wide range of new and emerging

Responsibilities:

We have an opportunity for a Technical Director, Social Infrastructure to join our growing team. In the role, you will manage all technical aspects of social infrastructure projects through the development phase and up to financial close.
This role can be located in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne .
This opportunity will draw on your experience in developing large scale social infrastructure projects, with a focus on data centres.
You will also be responsible for providing technical input into strategy development and market engagement for Pacific Partnerships and other CIMIC operating subsidiaries.

In the role, you will:

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership to successfully acquire target assets
  • Provide ongoing technical leadership through the asset’s development through to ready to build stage ensuring efficiency and maximising value to the CIMIC Group
  • Develop technical solutions for projects that align client requirements and achieve Commercial and Financial Close
  • Form strong relationships with D&C/EPC and O&M/FM contractor’s to ensure effective coordination and integration
  • Provide design management and input in consideration of Client / Offtaker requirements
  • Provide technical input into key project contracts such as D&C/EPC and O&M/FM subcontracts
  • Prepare market suppliers strategy and comparison, negotiate advisors’ mandates
  • Provide support for asset development and delivery approval processes and other internal governance activities
  • Manage consultants in accordance with project budgets and overall timeframesSupport the development team to successfully develop target assets that maximise value to the CIMIC Group
