Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Director for the Metrology & Inspection (M&I) division who will lead technical strategy, customer engagement, and product roadmap alignment. The candidate will serve as the primary technical interface between key semiconductor customers and headquarters, with deep understanding of process integration, metrology/inspection technologies, and fab operations. Your Role Act as the technical lead for all M&I-related discussions with major semiconductor customers. Analyze and understand customers’ technology trends, including process scheme evolution, device architecture changes, and integration challenges. Translate customer technical needs into clear requirements and communicate them effectively to headquarters (R&D, Product, and Engineering teams). Contribute to the development and refinement of the product roadmap by providing insight into customer process flows, metrology/inspection gaps, and future requirements. Lead technical evaluations, demo planning, tool performance reviews, and technology benchmarking with customers. Provide expert-level guidance on metrology and inspection strategies within advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Support escalations, critical issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination with HQ and field teams. Represent the company at customer technical meetings, industry forums, and roadmap planning sessions. Mentor and develop junior technical members within the M&I organization. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Physics, Materials, Mechanical, or related field). A minimum of 15 years of extensive semiconductor fab experience, preferably including process integration and metrology & inspection operations. (experience in yield engineering or device experiene is a plus) Prior experience working at a metrology or inspection tool company (e.g., CD-SEM, Optical Metrology, Scatterometry, Defect Inspection, e-beam inspection, X-ray metrology, etc.) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of semiconductor process flows, device structures, and integration schemes. Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with headquarters. Deep knowledge of advanced process nodes (e.g., EUV, GAA, 3D NAND, HKMG, advanced packaging). Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex customer feedback into actionable insights.
