WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join our growing company. The individual will be working as a Drafter as part of the Shop Drawing Department. The Mechanical Drafter will provide 2D and 3D drawings for client approval and production.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Must have a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong Solidworks knowledge is a must;
  • Candidate must be able to work in both independent and team environments;
  • Candidate is expected to be well organized and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment;
  • Knowledge of an ERP system is a plus;
  • Previous project in lighting is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Create mechanical drawings by studying customer requirements;
  • Designs mechanical light configurations for client approval and production using exiting 3D assemblies;
  • Prepares necessary mechanical and electrical detail;
  • Makes detailed layouts to determine detailed dimensions and to check clearances;
  • Reviews the dimensional data and makes necessary changes to the drawings;
  • Produce support documentation such as Bills Of Materials, Service Drawings, Wiring Schematics;
  • Produces as-built drawings;
  • Follows established policies and procedures while ensuring the highest level of quality
  • Contributes to team work;
