SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Often sought around 10 years in UAE construction projects, though this varies by employer and project scale

Technical Proficiency:

  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office. Familiarity with HSE practices and UAE standards is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, coordination, and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare and review mechanical submittals, specifications, drawings, compliance reports, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Site Coordination & Support:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams consultants, contractors, suppliers resolving technical queries, negotiating clarifications, and supporting site troubleshooting.

Drawing Review & QA/QC:

  • Check IFC (Issued for Construction) documents, fabrication plans, method statements, and ensure site compliance with technical requirements.

Planning & Monitoring:

  • Contribute to look-ahead schedules, monitor subcontractor performance, support PPC (Production Progress Control), assist with daily progress tracking and reporting.

Material & Equipment Handling:

  • Assist with material approvals, ensure correct preservation of equipment/materials, and support pre-commissioning or testing procedures.

HSE & Compliance:

  • Participate in HSE initiatives, toolbox talks, site inspections, and enforce safety and quality compliance on-site.
