For more information, visit: https://waagnerbiro-bridgeservices.com Job Description The Technical Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and implementation of structural and civil engineering works in accordance with project specifications, design drawings, and local authority regulations. The role involves reviewing design documents, preparing construction shop drawings, resolving site technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project standards and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Review and interpret structural and civil design drawings, specifications, and project documents. • Prepare and check detailed shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and as-built drawings for structural and civil elements. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution. • Provide technical support to site teams during construction to resolve design and interface issues. • Assist in preparing material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals. • Ensure that all structural and civil works comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. • Conduct site inspections and verify works are executed as per approved drawings and quality procedures. • Liaise with local authorities and clients for design approvals and compliance documentation. • Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize design solutions. • Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and correspondence for project documentation. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry. • Proven experience in infrastructure, and bridge projects. • Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority standards, and local construction practices. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, ETABS, and MS Office. • Familiarity with project coordination, documentation, and QA/QC procedures. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines. Additional Information • Experience with design-and-build or EPC projects. • Understanding of value engineering and cost optimization. • Coordination experience with multidisciplinary design teams. • Familiarity with Etihad Rail, ADNOC, or similar infrastructure projects is an advantage.
