For more information, visit: https://waagnerbiro-bridgeservices.com Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to join our team for a major Bridge Construction Project in Dubai. The ideal candidate will act as a crucial link between the design team, construction site, and shop drawing production, ensuring technical accuracy, design compliance, and seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Design Coordination Collaborate with the design consultants to review and interpret bridge design drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Identify and resolve discrepancies between design drawings, shop drawings, and site conditions. Participate in design review meetings and provide technical feedback to optimize constructability and compliance. Shop Drawing Management Review, check, and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for structural and civil works. Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure timely submission and approval of shop drawings. Ensure that all drawings align with project specifications, standards (AASHTO, BS, or relevant UAE standards), and client requirements. Construction Support Provide technical assistance to site engineers and supervisors during construction activities. Monitor the implementation of design revisions and ensure that all changes are properly documented. Assist in resolving technical queries (RFIs) and ensuring design intent is maintained in the field. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of design correspondence, revisions, and drawing approvals. Prepare technical reports, method statements, and coordination schedules. Support quality assurance by ensuring adherence to approved drawings and specifications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering Civil Engineering 5 to 10 years of experience in a related technical engineering role Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrated project management abilities Familiarity with industrial processes and manufacturing techniques Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site inspections or client meetings
