By investing in our people’s continued growth and learning, we challenge and change how we build together – people and business Job Summary: The Technical Engineer – Electrical is responsible for supporting the planning, design, review, and execution of electrical engineering activities within assigned projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The engineer will ensure that all electrical designs, documentation, and installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and organizational requirements. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the successful execution of engineering strategies that support overall project goals. Ensure engineering practices are aligned with best industry standards and organizational policies. Support continuous improvement initiatives in design quality, workflow efficiency, and engineering processes. Perform engineering calculations, design analyses, and technical evaluations to support decision-making. Develop, review, and validate detailed electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications for construction projects. Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and project requirements. Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Prepare and review engineering reports, technical documentation, and related project deliverables. Lead the preparation of shop drawings and ensure timely issuance of “Site for Construction” (SFC) drawings. Collaborate closely with the BIM team to ensure accurate and up-to-date electrical models. Provide technical guidance, oversight, and mentorship to Junior Technical Engineers. Support the preparation of bid packages for materials and subcontractors (as applicable). Coordinate with the procurement team for addendums, clarifications, and technical requirements related to bid packages. Review material submittals and vendor/contractor pre-qualification documents for compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. Ensure effective cross-departmental coordination for smooth and integrated project delivery. Job Specifications and skills requirements Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with not less than 7 years’ experience in MEP/electrical coordination. Skilled in load calculations, cable sizing, LV systems, lighting, and low-current systems. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP/BIM, Dialux/ETAP, and MS Office. Experience in shop drawings, material submittals, and site inspections. Strong communication, problem‑solving, teamwork, and mentoring skills. PMP, LEED GA, or Revit certification preferred.
