Description:
As a Marine Technical Engineer, your role involves ensuring the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of marine vessels, machinery, and equipment. You will provide technical expertise in vessel construction, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance to guarantee reliability and functionality. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and overseeing daily vessel operations, including movements, documentation, and risk management.
- Ensuring compliance with port state control regulations.
- Handling and verifying ship and cargo documentation, including customs compliance for international shipments.
- Raising purchase requisitions and procurement orders for vessel maintenance and repair requests.
- Monitoring and reviewing approved purchase requisitions for all vessels.
- Assisting relevant departments with claims related to demurrage, cargo shortages, and commercial issues.
- Preparing and submitting monthly statistical reports, such as operating rate statistics, demurrage data, and voyage reports.
- Implementing strategies to enhance vessel efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Coordinating the engagement and deployment of sea staff for vessel assignments.Managing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), including documentation and record-keeping of repair and maintenance activities within the marine department archive.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of international maritime regulations and environmental standards.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in vessel operations, maintenance, or technical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel and work in demanding environments, such as shipyards or offshore locations.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under time constraints.High sense of integrity and professionalism.
