Description Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing The San Francisco VA Healthcare System (SFVAHCS) in San Francisco, CA with a Technical Engineer. The Technical Engineer expected to perform the following Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to equipment or systems Design, implement, and evaluate mechanical, electrical, and software systems Ensure all technical equipment and procedures comply with safety regulations and industry standards Assist in product development processes by providing technical insights and expertise Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and infrastructure Develop and conduct testing procedures to ascertain the quality of technical systems Provide technical guidance and support to team members and other departments Prepare and deliver technical reports and documentation Keep up-to-date with advancements and best practices in the technical engineering field Requirements Minimum 5 years Technical Engineer experience. Must be familiar with patient Centered Care Culture in healthcare. Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering and/or construction management. Must have knowledge of healthcare design and understanding of fire codes, building codes, barrier free codes, system, components, cleaning and maintenance concepts, ergonomics and safety criteria. Must have the ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Preferred certification as a Professional Engineer. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access& Outlook) is required. Microsoft Project and Revit are beneficial but not required. VISTA (Veterans Health Information & Technology Architecture) use to access information in the Medical Center Computer System is beneficial but not required. Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with a variety of contractors, management officials, vendors, Contracting Officers, and VA San Francisco staff.
Responsibilities
The Technical Engineer will analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and software systems within the healthcare facility. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing technical documentation and support to staff.
