We’re now seeking a highly respected Technical Executive, Civil & Geo‑Environmental Engineering to provide technical leadership, drive client outcomes and grow our presence across water, dams, mining and waste infrastructure. This is a senior technical leadership role for a trusted advisor who is recognised for their expertise, judgement and ability to partner with clients on complex, high‑risk assets. The opportunity You’ll lead and influence some of Australia’s most significant geo‑environmental and dam-related projects, working with major water authorities, mining clients and asset owners. From dam safety reviews and embankment design to landfill caps, ash dam rehabilitation and geosynthetics systems, you’ll guide projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery. You’ll also play a key role in client relationship development, design governance and technical excellence, setting the benchmark for quality, safety and innovation. What you’ll be responsible for * Technical leadership across dam design, inspections and dam safety reviews * Delivery of water dam infrastructure projects * Leading complex embankment, tailings, ash dam and facility rehabilitation projects * Providing expert input to geotechnical studies (piping, seepage, foundations, stability) * Design and oversight of floating covers, landfill cells and capping systems * Technical leadership in geosynthetics (HDPE, LLDPE, PVC, GCL, geogrids, geotextiles) * Acting as Design Manager / Design Authority for major multidisciplinary projects * Building trusted, long‑term client relationships and identifying future opportunities * Peer reviews, forensic assessments and technical governance * Mentoring senior engineers and contributing to industry leadership and thought leadership   About you You are a senior, credible engineering leader with depth, breadth and influence. You’ll bring: * Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded) * Chartered Engineer (CPEng) and/or Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV) * Extensive experience across water, dams, mining, waste management and site transition * Proven delivery of projects from concept through to detailed design * Strong capability across civil, geotechnical and geosynthetics components * A passion for client relationships, trusted‑advisor engagement and long‑term value * A reputation for technical excellence, sound judgement and collaborative leadership   Why WSP?
