Job Description Primary responsibilities: Maintain and ensure all equipment is functional/operational Provide training, guidance, and supervision to laboratory staff on analytical techniques, quality assurance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements. Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods and procedures as and when required. Conduct inter-departmental quality audits. Conduct an assessment of the lab staff's competency Support and maintain the Laboratory Quality System. Provide quality assurance to clients by constantly reviewing their quality needs and implementing new strategies as necessary. Specific responsibilities: Prepare and calibrate standards and reagents. Calibrate and maintain the working condition of equipment and apparatus. Meet the laboratory calibration schedule. Liaise with Lab personnel to solve problems relating to analysis quality. To initialize and implement new quality tools to raise the overall quality service standard. To set up new methods and develop tests as required. Organize validations and proficiency testing as appropriate and coordinate round robins testing. In liaison with the Lab Manager, to raise and update standard and in-house test methods and procedures. Perform operational analysis of routine samples as required. Analyze test results, interpret data, and prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations. Implement new testing methods to cater to customer requirements Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management. Qualifications Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering / Science or related field Preferably with 5-10 years of quality assurance/management experience in handling gas/petrochemical products.
