Focus of the Role The Technical Expert is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and operational excellence of data centre facilities and associated network infrastructure. Mature and work independently with strong coordination skills to manage critical operations, security uplift initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration. The position also requires coordination among team for alignment with international security standards such as ISO 27001 and Telstra’s security expectations, while maintaining service levels and operational resilience. What You’ll Do Operations & Reliability Oversee day‑to‑day technical operations for Hong Kong data centre sites, ensuring compliance with SLAs and uptime targets. Coordinate troubleshooting for cross‑connects and other connectivity issues impacting service delivery. Support preventive and corrective maintenance, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Security & Compliance Virtually coordinate security uplift projects for Telstra across international network sites, ensuring alignment with Telstra’s expected security standards. Implement and maintain physical and logical security protocols, including access control, CCTV, visitor management, and vulnerability mitigation. Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and Telstra’s internal security requirements. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a liaison with the wider team and external partners to ensure seamless execution of projects and operational tasks. Align all activities with agreed SLAs and Telstra’s security benchmarks. Provide clear communication and reporting to stakeholders on progress, risks, and performance metrics. Working across team – Network Operational Center, customer services Shift Coverage Only at special scenario, support participation in 7×24 shift coverage to maintain operational continuity and rapid incident response. About You Good written and speaking communication in English and Cantonese Team player Data Centre Operation 5 years experiences in data centre operational works Holder of Certified Data Centre Professional is preferred Security Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of physical security measures and threat mitigation relevant to data centre environments. Ability to implement security standard to wider team.
