Description

Based within a global manufacturing company, this skilled technical maintenance role will offer the opportunity to work on production machinery within a fast moving, highly automated environment.
This position is purely “hands-on” and you will work on a wide range of bespoke equipment, including mechanical, electro-pneumatics and electrical control systems.
Reporting to the department manager, you will attend, assess and repair mechanical, pneumatic or electrical breakdowns and find suitable fixes to reduce downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Working on days to support a small team of production operatives and shift supervisor. Provide technical support to ensure production targets are delivered and quality standards are maintained.
  • Lead the preventative maintenance program, making sure all scheduled maintenance is completed
  • To liaise with the other departments and effectively communicate any current or potential issues that may impact equipment downtime or quality concerns.
  • Ensure all aspects of health & safety are implemented in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Use your developed knowledge, fault finding and engineering skills to reduce downtime and repair production equipment in a busy fast-moving environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
