Overall job purpose
Isle of Anglesey County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Clerk of Works to monitor and report on housing and regeneration building contracts involving multi-trade works to occupied and unoccupied properties using traditional forms of contract. Projects include new build developments, major estate refurbishments, ad hoc minor refurbishment works, properties bought back into the housing stock and adaptation works.
Existing experience of the role is preferred but applications will be particularly welcome from construction supervisors with relevant technical knowledge and background experience of quality control and health and safety on site. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with tenants, leaseholders, contractors and consultants.
The successful applicant will be joining an established team of professionals which has an exceptional record of maintaining and improving the Councils housing stock whilst achieving a high level of resident satisfaction.
This position is integral to ensuring that Isle of Anglesey County Council continues to achieve its high-quality standards of work and presents an exciting opportunity for professional development.
To assist with quality control of building projects and liaison between the Client, internal teams, contractors, consultants and residents.
To ensure smooth handover of completed projects to the Client.
