Description:

Convergint is looking for an enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Technical Integration Specialist to join their business in Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, operating, and maintaining complex IT-based Physical Security Systems (PSS). The Technical Integration Specialist has an advanced understanding and applies professional concepts to physical security and PSS best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible for GoC Security clearance: secret or higher level preferred.
  • Expert integrator and programmer in the Software House C-Cure 9000 environment with previous experience deploying and supporting an enterprise networked environment with a multi-regional C-Cure MAS/SAS distributed topology.
  • Capability to deploy and support Stratus® everRun for high availability, and Stratus ARCserve for disaster recovery (DR) redundancy in the C-Cure MAS/SAS environment.
  • Ability to deploy and support Genetec’s Security Center or comparable enterprise commercial grade VMS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs system administration including programming applications, database systems management, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitors ongoing performance, identifies system vulnerabilities and proactively corrects issues.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify underlying software and/or network issues contributing to the failure of security system components.
  • Performs testing to prove cause and effect, plans and implements corrections to prevent future system failures.
  • Programs, manages and operates CCURE access control system and Genetec Video Management system.
  • Develops training materials for security systems to be delivered to end-users.
  • Documents system operations and/or procedures.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
