You will be working in the 5G L3 A&S team at Espoo, a highly motivated and experienced team. Our work encompasses writing the technical specification and design the Radio Access Network (RAN) Control Plane (Layer 3) functionalities that will later be implemented by software teams. More specifically, Layer 3 focuses on the exchange of control messages (signalling) between a User Equipment (UE) and the Base Station (BS).

We’re looking for an ambitious Trainee to help us improve and evaluate an existing Q&A Proof-of-Concept (PoC) that is based on Technical Language Processing (TLP). Your main tasks will be:

• Get familiar with the technical specification documents.
• Explore the current implementation and recognize/propose improvements in the preprocessing stage.
• Experiment with the implementation of semantic search algorithms on top of knowledge graphs.
• Analyze general improvements to be done in the existing Q&A PoC deployment.
• Develop a plan and valuate the Q&A results.

The technical skills we are looking for:

• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Familiarity with semantic search, and algorithm implementation.
• Python, Docker, and basic Linux skills are mandatory for this position.

• Previous experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is highly appreciated.Previous experience working with Knowledge Graphs (KGs), e.g. “dgraph”.

• Fluent spoken and written English.Curiosity and proactivity, with a “can-do” attitude.
